MY AUSSIE TRIP

Hey everyone...
I just got a new laptop cos the one I was using spoilt a long time ago and haha... din wanna spend money to get a new one. So I've gotten the pictures I took in Australia in June 2008 into my laptop. Here are just some of the pics I took.

I went to Melbourne and Sydney. If you have not been there before, I'm sure next time when you start working, and start saving up a fair amount of money, you would be able to go for a nice holiday there. In fact, some of you might even go to Australia to pursue your university education, like several of my frens did.

Australia is a nice place. I love Melbourne and the 12 Apostles. Beautiful scenary. So if you love sight seeing instead of the city view kinda holidays, Melbourne would be a good stop some time.

Let me introduce some of the pics I took... the nicer ones of cos!! Heh... I'm pretty proud of these pics cos I think they came out nice (what i'm actually saying indirectly is that i'm quite good a photographer!!) wahahah...

This was taken at the 12 Apostles... The rock formation was actually joined to the mainland but due to the strong waves there, over many many years, the sand eroded, leaving the bits and pieces of rocks (or land masses) detached from the mainland.

This was taken at Sydney's Olympic Park. In the background, which is not very clear, there's the stadiums used in the Olympics once held in Sydney.

This is one of my most loved pic. It shows how strong the waves at the coastal areas near the 12 Apostles can be. If you stand, watching the waves from the shore, you would be able to tell that these waves are actually higher than our eye levels. So i guess it's taller than us!!!
MAGNIFICENT!!

I was driving along the highway and there were endless farmlands on both sides. The sun was setting and it was my first time driving in the night in Aussie. They do not have street lamps along their highways unlike here in SIngapore, where we're pampered enough to have sufficient lighting. So had to on the headlights and still, had to strain my eyes to watch the winding road. See the cows grazing on the grassland on the right of the pic?

This is the lighthouse I went to. I had to pay a fee to enter the compound. The place is huge and there were housing for the lighthouse masters to stay in with their families. I climbed to the top of the lighthouse and the view of the open sea, the sound of the crushing waves... left me absolutely breathless. This is called the Otway Lighthouse.

Next to this lake is the sea. It was winter and people were wearing their wet suits and surfing in the icy cold winter waters!!! i have NO idea at all how they did that! I would have turned into a block of ice!! This lake was so calm and it led me to an overwhelming feeling of serenity and peace.
